AM Africa Shares Lent Plans for Reviving Youth Mission
AM International in Africa is looking to spend the 40 days of Lent with clear focus to revive and organize the youth mission it is carrying out in the region. As the Lenten season begins, leaders of the national AM organizations in the continent have joined hearts to take part in prayer and fasting during the period for a series of prayer topics.
AM Africa regional leadership earnestly desires to strengthen the national leaders in the region by helping them serve the Lord through the ministry despite the many challenges they face.
The prayer topics include asking God to increase the number of youth joining the ministry, along with strength and courage regardless of the circumstances. Leaders are also praying to experience love and unity in Christ by committing themselves to the mission work. They are also asking for God's wisdom, knowledge and health.
The leaders are also praying for organization and preparations for an upcoming continental conference for AM Africa in August. Each country is also praying for the goals they have set for each of their nations this years. They are seeking growth and development of the leadership network in the region.
AM Africa is encouraging all leaders to be inspired by God who fulfills promises to His children.
The passage from 2 Chronicles 7:14 states: if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Leaders are being urged to remember how God has allowed to grow the ministry rapidly and recognize that the spirits of the faithful weep if that fades.
"We decided to come again before God this time," said a leader. "As Jesus suffered, we have decided to suffer with Him together and rise up with Him in glory."
The ministry urges prayers for continent during the Lent period.
