As Christmas is closely approaching, OA Japan has announced that the 2017 Christmas Retreat will be held in the Japan Olivet Center from 23-25th. All churches in Japan are invited to join the retreat. Japan ministers and their church members are all able to come and participate in the retreat this year.

OA Japan leaders are looking forward to igniting the fire of revival and encourage potential new leaders in the nation.

"We are hopeful that Christmas retreat will begin the spark to ignite the fire of revival among all the leaders and members in OA churches and fellowships," said Pastor Daichi Ogata, the president of OA Japan.

"It will be the event to deeply meditate on the meaning of Jesus Christ 's coming, restoring the joy of our salvation," he added.

Entering the new dimension of Japan the year, the general office of OAJ is rushing against time to make an impact to some youth potential leaders with the hope that this can be a turning point to take a big step of faith as they embark on a journey that will change their life.

The event will be concluded with the Christmas service on the 25th and the Japan Mission conference will follow from the evening of 25th to 26th for 2 days.

During the conference, the church leaders will review and assess the progress of this year's mission and make plans for the New Year.

May the Holy Spirit guide them, lead them through the retreat preparation process that all may strengthen their faith in Christ and bring more people to know His Gospel.

In His Great Commission, Jesus commands us to make disciples-not simply to inspire a single moment of conversion but to lead others into a committed, lifelong walk with Him. As Reformed theologian R.C. Sproul wisely reminds us, "Jesus' lordship encompasses all of life."
