South Asia's OLI Commenced in New Delhi
OLI commenced in New Delhi Saturday morning with the opening service being after registration was held. The theme is titled "Leading Like Jesus," based from John 10:11 and Mark 10:45
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep(John 10:11)."
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45)."
Dr. Peter Beita preached the opening sermon and said that the perfect leader and example for Christians and leaders is none other than Lord Jesus Christ himself. And quoting from Patrick Johnstone's book Operation World, he said, "There is lack of leadership worldwide, not lack of leaders but lack of true leaders."
He said that the harvest is plentiful but the real workers are few - real leaders are few. And he explained Luke 10:2 this way and challenged the leaders.
He exhorted that all the attendants to learn important lessons during this leadership training and get benefited it abundantly.
