Olivet Leadership Institute to Raise New Leaders in Zambia
The Olivet Assembly Headquarters in Africa is preparing the program and lectures for the upcoming Olivet Leadership Institute in Zambia. They have a plan to operate OLI to raise many African leaders, many of which are coming from the growing Zambian congregation.
Bible studies and church workshops will give the necessary training to those who are interested in church planting. Some of the lessons will be taught by videos prepared from mission leaders across the region. Additionally, they will focus on conferences that will encourage the localization of African churches and encourage more local leadership.
Faith and Family ministry and the church administration lectures have been prepared and will be vital in ensuring each church is organized effectively. Ministry presentations from various Olivet organizations will expose and educate young leaders about the many opportunities they can grow their church and involve new membership. Additionally, IT training will help church leaders manage their websites and social media.
One missionary expressed, we need to find Bible teachers and the first step is to train ministry leaders from each country. We hope to hold OLI programs in each African country, perhaps going to Nigeria next. We are so thankful to start here in Zambia and work with the precious leaders in the month of June."
