AM HQ Develops Summer Program to Include Diverse Educational Opportunities

2017 AM HQ

The Apostolos Missions HQ is preparing to host a summer program in the coming months. The program is expected to welcome students who will engage in an introductory level of mission work from a practical and administrative perspective.

The summer program is being shaped with the guidance of mission leaders who have generously offered their wisdom. The focus of the program will be to prepare students to fulfill the work of managing a local AM chapter once they return to their schools. They will also receive a taste of the daily AM work at the headquarters.

The schedule consists of a balance of direct mission and indirect mission. Students will have plenty of opportunities to learn and receive grace through regular Bible study sessions, prayer meetings, weekly seminars, and a book club meeting. The students will read a book about Christian Leadership that will also involve some discussion time as a group. Additionally, there is a time for daily reflections and weekly counseling appointments.

As the students receive abundantly, they will also be able to serve in great ways. The students will practice evangelism in New York City and also have a weekly turn for teaching practice. AM is also introducing an administrative program called "projects." Each student will receive one or two projects that they will finish throughout the duration of the internship. The project will include assignments to conduct research and creatively shape information in order to make resources. Their projects will result in precious resources that will remain for generations to use.

The HQ has made a manual of 6 projects so far that can be tackled over the summer. The students will be encouraged to be creative and give all their effort towards finishing the work. All of the administrative programs will be goal-oriented and will challenge the students to think actively for the advancement of mission.

The AM HQ is praying continually that the students who attend the internship may be enriched greatly in their faith. Please pray for the goal of having 7 interns join the program this summer.
