AM Seminar Focus on How To Develop Campus Ministry
The Apostolos Missions International is preparing to hold a new seminar topic this week. The online attendance have been increasing and they are eager to begin working on their local campuses. This seminar will discuss the general outlook on what campus ministry is, the components of a campus ministry, and the duties of the student leader.
AM's general structure consists of three strands-- the Word, fellowship, and service. Each of these are revealed in various programs that campus ministries typically hold. For example, "the Word" may consist of small group Bible studies. There are ways to conduct a small group and there are small works that should be done regularly to operate this kind of program. Another example, would be "fellowship." This can include large group activities, prayer, meetings, retreats, movie nights, etc. There is also a procedure and some minimum responsibilities in order to carry out this program. Students will learn about this basic structure, basic programs, and basic duties during the seminar.
The AM believes that the seminar resources are truly invaluable. Students who listen to the Word need to be challenged to practice the Word through small works. Otherwise, the messages remain as just information. The HQ will begin distributing works remotely. But the best way for the student to grow is to serve their on own campus and grow with the heart of a shepherd.
