OTCS Zambia Kicks Off, Welcoming Field Pastors and Missionaries

OTCS Zambia

Zambia Olivet Theological College and Seminary conducted an interview with new students of this coming semester through an onsite and online platform. Questions asked referred to the students' purpose of learning, experience in the mission field, knowledge of the Bible, and their life and family support.

Students were from various backgrounds including Zambia, Egypt, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda. They are involved in different churches and ministries of Olivet Assembly of Africa.

Students shared their wish to increase their knowledge of the Bible and to be able to become a pastor or minister of the church. Pierre, a student leader in YEF, shared, "I want to be a pastor", and YEF leader Wegner said, "I want to work for the Kingdom of God".

Zambia Olivet Theological College and Seminary decided to receive all students as their family and to support them to learn. Missionary James, OTCS Professor Julu, and Pastor Chama will be teaching the new students through onsite and online classes.

OTCS in Zambia has been preparing this new semester with several meetings in order to lay school administration solidly. The preparation is now bringing results of recruiting students and opening classes. The curriculum follows the standard transcript of the country and guides news students to commit to studying. School also expects that students show spiritual growth by keeping times for devotion and prayer throughout the semester.

The new semester's 2nd quarter courses include Church history, Hermeneutics, Bibliology, Old Testament, Angiology, and Christology. The new students will start the new quarter classes along with the previous students. There is an OTCS schedule of orientation on March 3rd, and on March 6th they will start classes.

Not by Might: The Call to Lead Through the Holy Spirit and God’s Word

In Christian leadership, the temptation to depend on human strength is constant. Leaders may trust their education, experience, or strategies to carry out the work of ministry. In His Great Commission, Jesus commands us to make disciples-not simply to inspire a single moment of conversion but to lead others into a committed, lifelong walk with Him. As Reformed theologian R.C. Sproul wisely reminds us, "Jesus' lordship encompasses all of life."
