Latin America Conference Lecture Focuses on Romans, the Reason for Salvation
Lecture on Wednesday, Jan. 25 was centered on the verses of 1 Peter 3:15 and in Romans 1. Latin American leaders were able to meditate on the reason of salvation through reflecting on the sin of man.
The lecture commenced with the focus on "why do we need to be saved?" and "why do we need Jesus?" These are questions that believers must be able to answer. Through Jesus, we are able to know God who is the creator of all things. Because of that man seeks God such as the sunflower needs the sun.
Referencing to Romans 1:19, God has revealed himself through the creation so that no one is without excuse. Though man knows this, they refuse to glorify God which is the sin in them. However, there is a world beyond death just as it says in Hebrews 9:27 that every man is destined to die and to give an answer before God for their lives. In Romans 1:31-32, man approves of those who practice these sins; they are destined to go towards death and Hell.
However, the Son of God came and opened this path of salvation. This is the gospel that Paul wants to teach through this precious book.
