Elim Center Celebrates 8th Anniversary in New York

elim center

On December 3rd, 2016 Elim Center celebrated its 8th Anniversary in Kirkwood, New York with a one-day retreat.

The program began with an opening service, followed by two 2-hour specialized prayer sessions, the anniversary service, and concluded with a prayer revival night. The anniversary service consisted of a presentation of Elim's vision and progress, with an impressive gallery of the growth of its international network, the sermon, testimonies, and cake-cutting and photos.

The anniversary message featured the passage Isaiah 40:1-5 about God's comfort to His people. It was touching to hear verses 4-5, "Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken." The valleys, mountains, and rugged places describe the states of our heart. God can and does mold and transform our hearts so that His glory can and will be revealed through our lives.

There were touching testimonies from Elim staff. More than the content of their speech, their very presence, dedication and service to the Lord is a testimony of Elim Center's mediatorial work of transforming lives through prayer.

Elim Center International's retreat was prepared with overflowing love and prayer that the Holy Spirit could blow quickly and swiftly through the halls and rooms. It was a joyous and reviving time with tears of repentance and gratitude from the souls who traveled to celebrate Elim Center International's 8th Anniversary. Elim looks forward to expanding its ministries and departments, growing into the tree with such big branches that many souls can come and rest in its shade.

God’s Gift and Our Response: The Cycle of Grace, Gratitude, and Worship

The Christian faith is marked by a unique and profound rhythm: grace, gratitude, and praise. Called to Make Disciples in All Nations

In His Great Commission, Jesus commands us to make disciples-not simply to inspire a single moment of conversion but to lead others into a committed, lifelong walk with Him. As Reformed theologian R.C. Sproul wisely reminds us, "Jesus' lordship encompasses all of life."

In the journey of faith, we often find ourselves eagerly seeking to fulfill the Great Commission, to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth, just as Jesus commanded his disciples. However, in our fervor to carry out this mission, let us not overlook a crucial commandment given by our Lord Himself.
