US Christmas Retreat to be Held for 3 Days on Two Coasts
On Monday, meeting was held to decide the venues of this year's Christmas retreat in the United States for the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ only about a month away. It was decided that the retreat will be held on two coasts in both New York and Los Angeles, and attendants will join from across the nation.
The theme of the retreat will be based on John 1:14 - "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." Lectures from Matthew chapters 1-4, delving deeply on the incarnation of the Lord, will be delivered during a 3-day span from December 24th to 26th.
Christmas retreats are considered one of the major 4 gatherings where all churches in the Assembly should come together to meditate on the Word, and hold a time of prayer and fellowship with one another despite the normal work schedules. Our lives should be filled with the grace of the Lord always, and receive the strength from above to do greater works. We should always remember the Lord in our walk of faith, and press onward with a strong conviction trusting the providence and love of God.
