OTM Asia Chapters’ Meeting Centered on Strategically Reaching Teens
Olivet Teen Mission held iconference with chapter leaders in Asia.The video conference focused on their progress and plans to reach teens in their local cities.
In India, the Delhi chapter is starting with the teenagers that already attend the guitar class. Focus will be given on being more acquainted with these teens to understand them better.
OTM Philippines explained their plans on how to use the dance outreach class that commenced last week to raise core leaders in the near future.
OTM representative, Pastor Amanda Garcia, emphasized the importance of meeting teens where they are. All chapters, no matter where they are on the globe, have this common thread. They must lower themselves down and meet teens at their level in order to have an effective response. This is the central focus that they ought to keep in whatever program they implement.
An additional comment was made on OTM's two core focuses: evangelizing teens and raising leaders. Leaders were exhorted to constantly keep in mind how to raise the teenagers who have a longing for the Word of God into volunteers and leaders.
The conferences will continue to each week in order for the chapters to gain strength from one another and the HQ.
