OAAP Develops Training Programs for Local Chapters to Raise New Leaders
As Pentecost is approaching, Olivet Assembly Asia Pacific (OAAP) declares to develop training programs for local chapters to raise potential leaders and missionaries.
Now is not the time when leaders work alone, representative of OAAP emphasizes two questions heading to a bigger scale of mission: How can I expend my team and how can I raise many people at a time.
Pentecost is this kind of time, when the tight-nit community of Christ expanded to 3000. "The coming of the Holy Spirit was not only an internal revival of people's hearts and spirit, it also manifested in the great expansion of the church with very clear system and culture in place," the representative added.
He also highlights that Olivet Leadership Institute (OLI) is the direction that OAAP will head towards, instead of raising up leaders by each church.
Currently, there are two kinds of leaders that OAAP will raise up: mission frontier and mission support. Since the goal of 2016 is to send out a large number of missionaries, OAAP is going to set up a missionary training center, and all churches are to nominate potential missionaries.
