OCWM Improving Care for Over Hundreds of Missionaries
The Olivet Center for World Mission is stepping up efforts to connect and provide care for missionaries worldwide. There are over hundred missionaries who are serving throughout the world and OCWM sees many ways it can support them in their precious work for the kingdom of God.
Since it was founded, the primary role of OCWM is to connect with and provide care to missionaries and their families who are living in a foreign land to preach the gospel in places with different culture and language.
"We know there are difficulties missionaries face doing mission away from their home country, using the foreign language," said a director at OCWM who also served as a missionary for over a decade. "We want to improve care for them through counseling about their mission work, visa-related issues, and financial needs."
Although the missionaries are also connected to the church where they are sent from and they are also under the care of the Olivet Assembly. However, OCWM plans to tend to the specific needs the missionaries face in the missions fields.
OCWM hopes to give encouragement and strength to over one hundred missionaries worldwide who are called to go out to the world and preach the gospel to the ends of the earth.
