OA Media Department to Launch Social Media Seminar for Local Churches
The OA Media Department is planning to hold a seminar for ministers on how to more effectively utilize social media in their outreach efforts. Each church in the US currently has their own website which can be unified with social media tools and functions to better connect ministers with potential newcomers. These websites can become much more noticeable to the greater public through social media interaction, especially when inviting people to retreats, local events, and services.
The hope is that revival can be found through bringing many people into the churches through a variety of means.
In this seminar, ministers will be made capable to navigating social media sites like Facebook and Meetup.com and advertisement sites like Craigslist. Each of these sites holds a lot of potential in bringing those who are interested in Bible studies and church events to the community. Many churches in the past have had great success using these tools, and OA hopes to continue this trend to others who may not have utilized them before.
