St. Luke Hospital Opens Door for Medical Missions Worldwide
The St. Luke Society (SLS) representative Joseph Lee pointed to St. Luke General Hospital and the plan to open in multiple locations around the world as doors that are being opened wide for missions through the medical ministry.
This week, St. Luke Society presented the proposal to expand the ministry worldwide by opening a medical university, a senior living community, and other medical clinics to perform the work of healing through various services as medical missions.
The general hospital newly renovated the 11-story hospital building in Seoul, Korea with upgraded facilities and new interior design. The hospital provides medical care to people of all ages, from infants to the elderly. The practice areas include a dental clinic (for children and adults), gynecology, oriental medicine, family medicine, medical imaging, and pediatrics.
The St. Luke Society in New York State is opening free clinics with volunteer doctors to provide medical services and promote good health and better access to healthcare in communities around the globe.
St. Luke will continue to hold regular seminars, forums and volunteer services to people in need in various parts of the world. The regular international conferences like the one recently held in Shanghai, China is one of the ways for the medical ministry to seek international cooperation in its ministry.
The medical ministry has seen more collaboration with the healing ministry through prayer meetings and conferences. By following the example of Jesus Christ and His ministry of love and healing, SLS hopes the ministry will become an effective channel for spreading the Gospel.
