Asia Pacific Christmas Conference Overflows with God's Love
On December 24, Christian leaders from across the Asia Pacific and East Asia regions held a joint conference in Seoul, Korea. Together they celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, and the love of God in sending His one and only Son into the world.
Rev. James Kim began the opening service with a question, "Why is Christmas joyful?" He preached the message of the gospel, that though no man is righteous, sinners can experience joy and give thanks during Christmas because of the salvation that is found through faith in Jesus Christ.
Rev. Kim also shared verses from John 1:1-5, encouraging leaders to meditate on the theme of the Incarnation and apply it to their lives and ministries.
The first lecture was presented by Rev. Mark Shin on "History and the Kingdom of God," based on the genealogy of Jesus Christ found in Matthew Chapter 1, emphasizing the unchanging will of God for our salvation.
During the Christmas service, the main hall was filled with joyful worship. The sermon on Christmas Day challenged leaders to focus on and imitate the life of Jesus Christ in humbling Himself, even to death on the cross to save fallen man.
