Churches Worldwide Prepare Christmas Activities for Teens

Because churches all over the world are experiencing growth in their Teen Ministry, ministers have set up special activities, programs, and a variety of performances for these teenagers.

The church in Malaysia has prepared many activities in their Christmas programs for its teens from 15 to 17 years old. These youth have shown that they received lots of grace from previous retreats, enjoying the games with one another as well as praying sincerely to God. This time, the Christmas retreat will have more teen-focused activities. They will participate in a musical drama, worship dance, instrument performance, family game-night and lastly sing choir together. On December 26, the church will organize a special event just for them.

Detroit Calvary in Michigan has a flourishing Youth Mission. These teens join the church every weekend and sometimes throughout the week for Bible study and Basketball. Ministers will guide the teens to make a special Christmas dance. In Detroit, the youth often come from broken families and dangerous areas. Therefore the ministers are diligently encouraging the teens to invite their parents to the Christmas retreat to view their performance and be touched by God's grace.

Another church in the U.S., New Life in Baltimore, evangelized Jafre, a 14 year-old, who has been diligently studying the Word almost daily since he was evangelized two weeks ago. He has gratefully agreed to play his violin at the Baltimore Christmas retreat and has been practicing daily.

Thailand has asked High Schoolers to also have a special performance. The teens, who have been joining the Acting Class weekly, made a skit to perform in the Christmas event. These teenagers come from a Bhuddist background, yet are willing to make the performance and have invited many of their friends to view the skit.

Olivet Teen Mission has been communicating frequently with these ministers to better understand the hearts of teens as well as prepare for ways to help them grow after the Christmas season. May God reveal His deep love for all these teenagers through the birth of His Son. Let's all join in prayer that numerous teens can be transformed this Christmas.
