Philippines Held Seminar on Reading the Bible

philippines

Bible seminar was held in Manila Immanuel Church recently on Biblical reflections on 'Why Read the Bible?'.

During the seminar delivered by Brother Gil, the attendants were given the brief background of the compilation of 66 books of the Bible and their categorization into various genres. On the foundation of the central themes of creation and salvation, the attendants were challenged to read the Bible to know God and their respective roles to play as they live in this fallen world.

Following a time of lecture, the question and answer session provided graceful interactions between the speaker and attendants, with questions ranging from helpful practices to study the Bible and how to discern Biblical interpretations to adopt for certain passages in the Bible.

Reflecting on the involvement of Brother Gil to share in the seminar, a minister shared, "Through this seminar, may God's Word continue to be planted deeply in our hearts and replace all worldly thoughts that are against the Truth."

As such Bible seminars are planned to be held once a month from here onwards, it is with hope that it will spur more people to seek more for the word of God while encouraging more members to rise up to the challenge to preach the Word during the seminars.
