OA India to Care for and Support Orphanage
The 'Serve For Christ' non-profit organisation is registered under the Government of Odisha/India Trust Act and currently gives shelter and care to about 70 children that are orphaned and abandoned. A four year old child is the youngest and the oldest of the group is around 15 years old.
Around 6 children are educated in the orphanage by the onsite teacher who resides in the orphanage, and the rest attend a Government school and stay in the orphanage after classes.
The owner of the orphanage Mr. Nabod Kumar Bardhan expressed hope in the vision of Olivet India and requested for contributing to the development of these children in greater ways.
"The need is great. Children stay in the Home and attend a nearby school. Their lives have been changed since they came to the Home. They love the Lord and have great hopes for the future," said Pastor Mohan.
