Dawn Prayer, Powerful Method to Call Great Revival

prayer

Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced it crops. (James 5:17-18)

Church pastors might have a long list of strategies and plans with piled up works to do. However, what is most significant is to run a spiritual engine of prayer underneath them. Church calendar can be filled with colorful events and diverse activities. Pastors should first make sure church dawn prayer keeps moving on every day to let visible programs bear substantive outcome.

The statistics says many pastors forget about the importance of spending time for prayer in the early morning before they begin daily busy schedule to administer their churches. When ministers' life lack of prayer, what easily traps them is losing of grace and focus in the midst of numerous pressured responsibilities. Life may go being tremendously busy with works of counsels, managements and other administrative tasks all day long, but, without actual fruit. The reason of those tiring stagnancy of church many times originates from serious lack of prayer.

Commonly, prayer is known to be a spiritual breath that enlivens our souls, fresh water that washes away tiredness. Not only does this prayer affect one's spiritual life personally, but it also brings tremendous power in advancement of God's Kingdom when one person prays like Elijah. Elijah, who was "a man just like us," without supernatural skills or mysterious ability, ended scorching famine of three and a half years by "prayer". Bible records Elijah "bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees" when he prayed. This image visibly describes how much he was focused on his prayer to resolve issues by God's power. It was not by "his might" nor "his power" that made Elijah prominent prophet of the era. It was solely by his earnestness in prayer to the Lord.

Pastors view tailing list of works and goals that seem to emancipate confined situation of no growth. Before practicing any of action plans, what needs to be done is pastors' kneeling down, bending their heads to the ground and praying to the Lord. The best time out of the day, early morning, should be purely offered to the Lord by shepherd's prayers. Mysterious works of God follow, afterwards, such as increasing of newcomers, transformation of current congregants and many other wonders that strengthen churches.

Every mission field may require prayer as the foremost task that should be carried out first. It can never be overemphasized in this country where many are far driven away from God's power due to intellectual arrogance and contentment of human doubts. People limit their life boundary within what they can calculate and close doors to God who can perform far greater works. Missionaries are all called to pray to cast away doubts of clouds and transform atmosphere to breakthrough any stagnancy they may confront. Three and a half years famine is not a challenging issue to God if one person prays like Elijah.

Faithfully united prayer is unstoppable force to bring gospel revival in this time. US churches and ministers are all in one heart to pray the country at dawn together. A day like a thousand year marks its morning with altogether prayer to let God hear our requests and goals. We may do jobs needed daily. How they are concluded, God confirms according to what we prayed.
